Welcome!

Dear Kindergarten Families,

I am looking forward to a fantastic year! This is my ninth class of Kindergarteners at Christ the King. Before teaching at CTK, I taught preschool in Manhattan, Kansas and Third Grade at Most Pure Heart, here in Topeka.  Christ the King is such a wonderful school and I love teaching here!

         Some of you are returning families and already know all about me but for the new families, I wanted to share a little bit about me. My husband, Michael, and I, grew up in Wamego, Kansas. I graduated from Kansas State University. I have a Sixth Grader named Lilli and I have a Fourth Grader named Grace and a Third Grader named Hawley. Lucy is three and attends CTK EEC. 

         Agnes Walsh is the Para in our classroom.  She and her husband, Tom, have lots of grandchildren that keep them busy. Agnes also loves to quilt and you will sometimes find one of her special quilts displayed in our room or hallway. This is her seventh year in our room and we are so lucky to have her!

         I will be giving you more information about classroom proceedures at Back-To-School night.  The date for that night will be announced as soon as possible. We will talk about homework, discipline, or class schedule and we will be answering any questions you may have.
